Barbara Pearl has more than 10 years of experience helping districts incorporate Math in Motion (MIM) and resources into workshops and staff development plans. Workshops may be scheduled during the school year or summer months. Fees include planning and delivery of the workshop and supplies. Travel expenses are additional. Staff Development, Instruction:
Includes MIM Resource Kit at special seminar discount.

This one day workshop demonstrates to elementary and middle school educators how to make manipulative materials an integral part of their classroom instruction, develop proven, practical, non-threatening ways to get students to think, talk and write math and integrate the NCTM Standards to empower all students mathematically!

Student Workshops:
Includes a MIM Resource Kit. You may combine 2 classes for each 60 minute workshop, maximum 4/day

Each workshop models classroom behaviors and strategies that show teachers how to help their students see the usefulness of mathematics, encourage an exciting math learning environment and support National Math Standards. Follow up exercises provide structured lessons the whole school can use year round.

Math in Motion: Origami in the Classroom (K-8), handbook for families and educators. Includes the math in Motion book, hole punched in an attractive bright yellow binder with two inside pockets, and a teacher pack of origami paper.

Funding Sources:

Eisenhower Funds, Title 1,11,PTA/PTO, District Level Funds, ESL/LEP, Family Contributions, Adopt-A-School: Partners/Grants, Collaborative Efforts with other Departments.
